Roberta F. King

Roberta began to write about the life of her son Noah, five years after his death. Her memoir, He Plays a Harp is the result of her work. “I found that while death was what drew people to the book, it was Noah’s life that readers truly love. Death, even one that takes time to accomplish is very short compared to life.”

Roberta is the Vice President of PR & Marketing at Grand Rapids Community Foundation. Her writing has appeared in numerous literary journals including: Atticus Review, Brain Child: The Magazine for Thinking Mothers, Hippocampus and Lifelines, the literary journal of Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth College and in each issue of the Community Foundation’s magazine, Current.

She lives with her husband Mike in Muskegon. She’s an avid runner and reader–but not at the same time.
